We are currently seeking an experienced
Mechanical Sales Manager to join our Wichita, KS team!
Job Responsibilities:
- To lead, coach, and grow our sales team.
- Achieving our growth targets, expanding market share, and building lasting relationships with clients.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the sales team.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities in construction, retrofit, service, and maintenance sectors.
- Monitor and report on performance against KPIs and adjust tactics to ensure objectives are met.
- Establish, track, and optimize lead generation and CRM processes in HubSpot.
- Support M&A activities by identifying and nurturing regional partnership or acquisition opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations, estimating, and project management to ensure seamless client experience and successful project turnover.
- Forecast pipeline revenue and resource needs for short- and long-term planning.
- Manage sales process.
- Promote company products and services.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, preferred.
- 3 - 5 years of experience managing and directing a sales team.
- 3 - 5 years sales experience in the construction or mechanical contracting industry.
- Experience in customer relationship management.
- Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dedication to providing great customer service.
- Ability to travel regionally as needed (up to 30%).
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Annual Sales Target: $20M+ in new and recurring revenue generation.
- Pipeline Development: Maintain a minimum 3x quota pipeline coverage at all times.
- Client Retention Rate: 90%+ across service contracts and repeat project work.
- Bid-to-Win Ratio: Maintain a 25%+ win rate on strategic bids (above $250K).
- Lead Response Time: Under 24 hours for inbound qualified leads.
- Sales Activity Metrics: Minimum of 10 qualified customer meetings/week (team-wide).
- CRM Utilization: 100% adoption with weekly data hygiene and reporting compliance.
- New Market Penetration: Add at least 2 major clients in target regions (Oklahoma, Colorado, Nebraska) annually.
